Magic Sword+ (Prologue)

I will maybe do an introduction post sometime in the future when I've gotten the hang of the game and have enough screen shots to be compiled into a post. For now, do enjoy the prologue first!

*Please envision the name 'Chasallye' to be 'Chandice' as I had accidentally switched the first and last names. Only for Prologue.

The first character I chose to begin the game with is Estel.

The 2 other boys - Ethan and Ray:

Hmm, we'll see how it goes. :) But for now I am reading the Spin-Off, so the main story will have to wait.

Please have fun reading the spin-off!

Ethan will be first, followed by Ray and then if time permits, Estel. I really don't know when the event will end though. XD But I've got a feeling I might be able to read all 3 of their stories.

In my opinion, Magic Sword+ is easier to play compared to BMP and MSB. Easier to play in terms of reading the story, accumulating points, currency - almost anything at all. But unlike the 2, I don't have a room/house in MS+, which is also for the best as I am quite lazy to put furniture and whatnot haha.

As usual from starting a game, I had to explore how the game works, where I can find the album and things but otome games have basically the same functions so it wasn't too hard. I'll tell you my comparison/opinions between the GREE games and MS+ (I'm not so sure of other 'Shall We Date?" series games).

Story Reading

GREE (BMP & MSB): 5 love passes will be replenished every day (24h).

MS+: 1 love pass for every 4 hours. That makes it easier and fairer to read the story because it wouldn't cancel all your previous love passes (if you didn't use them) when tomorrow comes. In a way you can keep on reading and reading.

Gifts

MS+ is surprisingly generous in giving gifts to players. I get something every day, be it money, avatar items, closet space or other items (like swords, herbs, etc). I'm not too sure but there are Golds you can collect and exchange for stuff. In the instance of this spin-off, the exchange pricing goes something like this:

10 Gold - 50 Gems (the currency in MS+)

30 Gold - herb

50 Gold - red updo

.
.
.

160 Gold - brown frilly skirt

185 Gold - Magic Sword

And so on and so on. What's more is that when you redeem the Gold - let's say you have 120 Gold - you get every item you can exchange under 120 Gold, not just the 120 Gold-priced item. Which is honestly shocking. I pressed randomly as I had no idea what it was and then I noticed how many gifts they were sending to my inbox. Maximum Gold for exchange is 500. Damn, I should have waited so I get everything.

You get Gold by completing one scene, going for training, and more. Training is something like going to Parties (BMP) and Guards (MSB), except you can choose to train with either 3 of them and they'll give you feedback like

Yeah. There's still a lot more compliments but I'll save that for later. :)

Avatar & Items

The avatar in MS+ is cute. So is the one in BMP! But... the avatar in MSB is not really attractive (I'm sorry!).

In MS+, they are also quite generous in giving closet spaces, Gems and other useful items. The clothes in BMP is still the best. My avatar in MS+ just looks weird when I change her look omg. OTZ I would prefer to have her look like how she initially looked like throughout the game.

Others

Oh! One good thing is that I can actually read the whole dialogue, in case you haven't noticed. :D Well, its good, but it also means that if I were to change my phone, the screen would be too long for the game, resulting in black spaces around the screen.

I don't think MS+ allows you to use items to boost your love meter with each individual person. I'm not too sure. Its also a bit trickier to get a happy ending because the love meter keeps going up and down.

In another sense, I don't feel rushed to complete the stories in MS+; I don't have a race against time. So I feel more relaxed. You also can't go back in MS+ like how you can in the GREE games. If you press the back button, it'll ask if you want to quit the game.

I haven't read the stories enough to give you a comparison in characters, so I'll do that probably when I feel like I know them enough. :3

OK, I will end this post now and I hope you enjoyed yourself! ^.^
